Female leadership: Anne Maryse Khaboré is the “pog gandaogo” 2021

The general director of the central purchasing center for essential generic medicines received the “Pog gandaogo” prize for the 2021 edition, this April 29, 2021 in Ouagadougou. The purchasing center for essential generic medicines, headed by Dr Anne Maryse KHaboré, is doing remarkable work to make medical consumables available in Burkina. The pog gandaogo prize initiated by the Burkinabè association for the emergence of the economy and culture Abeec aims to recognize the merit of women leaders in Burkina. “Since she arrived, efforts have been made. Medicines are available almost everywhere in Burkina. When you take free care from zero to five years, medicines are available in hospitals. For us, we had to recognize this merit,” declared Abeec president Dramane Kawolobou. Distinguished as the best female business manager in Burkina, this award therefore calls on the structure to redouble its efforts “Associations like Abeec, the Burkinabè association for the emergence of the economy which contributes a little to help women to be more than they are (just a woman in the home), this title becomes like an obligation for the general director, an obligation for me as a female pharmacist, to do even more than usual for the good of all Burkinabè people. We no longer have the right to fail.

We have to move forward and get better and better,” concludes Dr. Inès Ouédraogo, head of the prevention and management of specific orders at Cameg who came to receive the prize on behalf of the general director. Competence, objectivity, integrity and merit are the criteria which earned him this recognition. The prize consists of a trophy and a certificate of recognition.
