With a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Paris V (France) and a Master's degree in Management of Health Industries and Biotechnologies from the Paris Higher School of Commerce (ESCP-EAP), I acquired in-depth expertise in the management of pharmaceutical companies. With more than 15 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical and health product supply sector, I have worked in both the public and private spheres in Europe and French-speaking Africa.
I have always been committed to building high-performance and inclusive teams, guided by values ​​of ethics and integrity, which has contributed to my professional success. As General Director of the Burkina Faso Generic Medicines Purchasing Center (CAMEG), I played a central role in the implementation of free policies but also in the coordination and implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 certification process for the structure. With my multidisciplinary team, we overcame the complex challenges of ISO standards, demonstrating our commitment to operational excellence for 3 consecutive years.
Cumulatively to my position as general director of CAMEG, the first woman to date to hold this position, I was also the first woman to assume the functions of permanent secretary and then president of the board of directors of the African Association of Power Plants. for purchases of essential medicines (ACAME), an umbrella group bringing together 22 French-speaking African countries (West, Central, North Africa, including Madagascar and Djibouti )

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES

Dr Anne-Maryse K'habore, general director of CAMEG, has a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Paris V (France) and holds a master's degree in management of health industries and biotechnologies from the École supérieure de commerce de Paris (ESCP-Europe). Coming from the international private sector, she has more than 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industries for large pharmaceutical multinationals such as Sanofi Aventis, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and Novartis.
A wealth of experience that has strengthened the leadership of the Central Purchasing of Essential Generic Medicines and Medical Consumables (CAMEG) and raised it to a level of performance that rubs shoulders with excellence in the supply of quality pharmaceutical products for all health structures in Burkina Faso, and even beyond. CAMEG is the strategic instrument for implementing the various policies of access to health products, as well as presidential free policies such as that of medicines for pregnant women and children under 5 years old implemented since 2015 and that of family planning started in July 2020
Cumulatively in her role as general director of CAMEG, Dr Anne-Maryse K'habore was also permanent secretary then President of the Board of Directors of the African Association of Central Purchasing of Essential Medicines (ACAME), an umbrella group bringing together 22 African countries.
My passions
I am passionate about biotechnology and all disciplines relating to the health and logistics sector, but especially improving access to quality health care, particularly in the most vulnerable regions. This passion has guided me throughout my career, whether strengthening public health systems or working with international organizations to promote inclusive health policies.
As a leader, I am one of those who dream big and for whom, creating an impact and leaving a positive contribution, no matter how small, is an invitation for future generations to follow in our footsteps and do as much if not better. I remain convinced that this requires not only work but also self-sacrifice, rigor, determination, passion and perseverance, again and again because the cause is noble and worth it. ! I am therefore committed to promoting ethics, integrity and diversity within the teams with which I work.
My vision
My vision is to create a world where every individual, regardless of their geographic or socio-economic situation, has access to safe and quality essential medicines. I firmly believe that collaboration between the public and private sectors is crucial to achieving this goal. My work at the head of CAMEG and within the Association of Essential Medicines Purchasing Centers (ACAME) has been oriented towards this vision, by setting up quality management systems and strengthening the capacities of agencies national purchasing authorities.
My goals
  • Supply chain optimization : Use my expertise to improve the efficiency of logistics operations and ensure the availability of essential medicines throughout the region African, even in high-risk areas.
  • Strengthening quality systems : Continue to establish and maintain international quality standards in the management of pharmaceutical products, such as the implementation of the management system of quality, or even obtaining ISO 9001 certification for purchasing centers
  • Support for financial sustainability : Implement robust financial planning strategies to ensure the sustainability of public health initiatives and enable continued investments in innovative health solutions.
  • Development of strategic partnerships: Leverage my network and experience to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, facilitating access to new markets and financing opportunities
  • Advocacy for access to medicines : Using my platform and experience to promote policies that improve access to medicines in underserved communities, in collaboration with international organizations and governments.
